KirbySpawn originated from the same plane as Dedede Spawn, but developed in a different way. Not many know of these mysterious floofs, but those who do have a respect for them. Wherever they go, KirbySpawn fight for good and justice, though not always on purpose.

Physical Description

KirbySpawn are very round, with excessively large eyes and a mouth that grows to whatever size is needed for their next target. Their smooth, rubbery skin can be anything from stark white to coal black to hot pink to deep blue, but their small, oval feet are always red.

History

KirbySpawn travel the planes in search of food and adventure. In the beginning, they were fewer, but now KirbySpawn have grown in population. They don't speak much by habit, apparently communicating to each other largely by a sign language, but have generally gotten the idea.

Little is known of the race's history or origins, but the more venerated among them are referred to as "Star Warriors," suggesting a violent past. However, KirbySpawn are not typically organized or militant, only becoming mobilized in their own personal interest and curiosity. This is the defining character of the pink floof.

Some speculate they were created as ultimate soldiers by a great evil that has since vanished, but this has never been confirmed. According to some KirbySpawn, one KirbySpawn warrior became the strongest creature in existence and had to be sealed away, but the whereabouts of this warrior are unknown.

Society

Not much is known of their societies in their home plane, as they don't spend enough time together to form more than small groups. KirbySpawn aren't known to travel in groups larger than 4, and even Star Warriors only gather troupes of a few dozen when questing to confront a threat to their kind. They are often found living by themselves on their own, but generally, don't avoid other life.

KirbySpawn Names

Kirby Spawn are agender, and choose their own names at birth, though no one knows from whence they draw inspiration. Their names are most often some adjective related to their color and Kirby, or a seemingly-random word and Knight, but they are also sometimes just a seemingly-random couple of syllables.

Names: Meta Knight, Batamon, Keeby, Zebon, Shadow Kirby, Galacta Knight

Kirby Spawn Traits

Pink chubby pals who consume their way across the universes, saving those they can.

Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Strength score increases by 1.

Age. KirbySpawn are born as adults and tend to live for around three centuries.

Alignment. Most KirbySpawn tend towards neutrality and goodness, but some have been known to break this trend.

Size. KirbySpawn are always spherical in shape but vary widely in diameter. They range from 3 to just under 5 feet tall. Your size is Small.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet and you have a flying speed of 15 feet.

Lighter than Air. You are oddly buoyant. You have a flying speed of 15 feet and if you end your turn while flying you fall to the ground. In addition, as an action you can target yourself with your Inhale trait to slow your rate of descent to 60 feet per round until you end the effect. If you land before the effect ends, you take no falling damage, can land on your feet, and the effect ends. To use this trait your gullet must be empty, you cannot be wearing heavy armor and you must use your action each round to maintain this effect.

Inhale. As an action, you can attempt to draw a creature into your gullet and engulf them using your seemingly bottomless lungs. Choose a Medium or smaller creature within 15 feet. That creature must make a Strength saving throw. The DC is equal to 8 + your Strength modifier + your proficiency modifier. On a failed save, the creature is pulled 15 feet towards you, and you may swallow it whole. Your gullet can only contain one creature at a time. A swallowed creature is restrained and blinded, and may repeat its save at the end of each of its turns. On a success, the creature exits prone within 5 feet of you. You may use this trait a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier before you must complete a long rest to use it again.

Swallow. While you have a creature within your gullet you can attempt to copy one of its abilities as an action, expelling the creature when you do so as per your Inhale trait. Choose one of the following benefits, if applicable:

You learn one of the cantrips it knows. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for it.

You gain one of the natural weapon attacks it has, except all damage dice for the new attack are changed to d4s and the attack always uses your Strength score.

You gain proficiency in one of the weapons it is proficient in.

If it has a swim, burrow or flying speed, you gain a speed of that kind equal to your current walking speed.

If it had darkvision, tremorsense or blindsight, you gain that sense to a distance equal to that creature's.

Alternatively, your Dungeon Master may pick one of these options for you or make a whole new option. This new ability is considered a racial trait and you have access to it until you use your Swallow ability again or complete a long rest. You regain use of this trait once you complete a short or long rest.

Languages. They are what you call 'Evil Spirits'”—Rukia Kuchiki

Physical Description

Hollows are creatures born out of corrupted souls of humans. They vary heavily in shape and form, though usually, they tend to be quite large. They tend to be a little less than two times the size of that of their favorite prey, humans.

Two things that distinguish hollows from other corrupted beings is a gaping hole somewhere on their body, thus giving them the name 'Hollow'; the other being that they all have a bone-white mask over their faces, though the way it is designed is up to you. Sometimes they are ornate, and other times rather plain. Their body shapes are typically somewhat humanoid, with grotesque additions like tentacles, fur, spines, quills and the like.

History

As written, hollows are tragic creatures of circumstance. They form from the feeling of despair and tortured souls who desire better lives. No one really knows when the first hollow was born, but the written history details hollows having a starting point in tandem with human sentience. It is thoroughly speculated hollows derive from the ability to feel regret and thus the human passions. It has been observed however that some animals can also hollowfy. The process is hard to specify but the general lore written states souls who wander after death experience an anchoring effect on themselves when they are not able to tear themselves away from material desires like money, love, etc. The anchor thus causes them to rot thoroughly, eventually carving out a hole and eroding their human appearance, leaving them a fully transformed Hollow.

Hollows roam the world in search of souls to fulfill their own lacking of it, which is speculated to be the cause of the hole in their body. The void which they are left with as hollows has them hunger for souls that are believed to satiate them. This point has been debated, as no evidence exists stating that hollows ever stop hunting souls. It is thus an accepted theory that hollows, since the beginning of their existence, continually prey on the living forever and ever.

Society

Hollows can be highly social with their own kind, though it relies on the individual natures. They are capable of forming packs that hunt together or even small clans with a strong central figure. In this way, they form hierarchical structures that, at their base, resemble that of an animals pride and, at their most developed, small primitive villages like humans. This has been argued as proof hollows can be beneficial, but no real efforts have been made to integrate them for real into living society. Hollows congregate in their arid desert of a home, their only oasis, and refuge, in Hueco Mundo, where they live in anthill-like caves or southwestern adobe mud buildings.

Despite their ability to create community and orderly hierarchy, the rule of survival is still the governing law. Hollows may kill and devour one another and face no punishment because hollow society upholds strength and survival as the highest proof of citizenship and the right to exist.

Hollow Names

Hollows can name themselves, having rather devious consciousness. Sometimes they may take simpler names that refer to their abilities and tastes, while others have more sophisticated mindsets and take exotic-sounding human names.

Hollow Names. Grand Fisher, Screecher, Metastacia

Hollow Traits

Corrupted souls turned monsters that seek the souls of others to devour

Ability Score Increase. Your Strengthscore increases by 1.

Age. So long as a hollow is not killed, it will never age or die of age.

Alignment. Hollows tend to be chaotic and evil, bent towards slaughter and murder. There are rare instances where they may lean neutral however, and even rarer, good.

Size. The average size of a hollow is 8 feet tall. They are Medium sized creatures.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Darkvision. You can see in dim lightwithin 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Soul Devour. You devour the souls of your prey. Types of creatures that can be targeted are as per DM's discretion. The only beings that cannot be harvested under any circumstances are Undead beings of any kind, and constructs, as they are filled with an essence that mocks life and are soulless. You can use a bonus action to eat the soul of the recently deceased, as long as it is a creature that can be devoured. The creature must have died in the past 10 minutes for the soul to be consumed, and the hollow must be within 10 feet of the creature whose soul is to be consumed. When consumed, the hollow gains temporary hit pointsequal to the CR of the soul consumed. Due to the hunger hollows have, the benefits gained are only temporary and so the temporary hit points are lost at the end of your next long rest. You can use this ability equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1), regaining use after you complete a long rest.

Hierro. Hollows sport hardy skins like that of iron. Your base armor class, when unarmoured, is 10 + your Constitution modifier. You may wear a shield and still gain this benefit.

Cero. You can use your action to exhale destructive energy as a hollow. When you use your Cero, one creature within 40 feet of you which you can see must make a Constitution saving throw. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d8 necrotic damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d8 at 6th level, 4d8 at 11th level, and 5d8 at 16th level. After you use your Cero, you can’t use it again until you complete a short or long rest.

Languages. You can speak, read, and write in Common, Abyssal, and Infernal.

Subrace. Adjuchas, Vasto Lorde, Menos Grande

Adjuchas

Adjuchas are the natural leaders of Hollows. When an ally within 30 feet of your location is targeted by an attack, you may expend your reaction to move the allied creature up to 20 feet in any direction and force the attack to reroll if it is ranged.
