.dd5 or .dd35 file not openable with app

So when downloading custom content, the file types are simply not able to be opened, with the device prompting me to search the store for the proper app. If I open the link in app from the website, it works fine, but when I try to import my own custom content, I can only download the .dd5, which won't open

Some devices have difficulty seeing the file extension, you can solve this in a couple of ways:

- Try a file browser app, (like Astro) and open the file using that app.
- Try to send the file via mail to your email app and open it from there.
