Sure, feats are "features" that enhance some abilities of a character.
At certain levels, your class gives you the Ability Score Improvement, using the optional feats rule, you can instead of taking that the extra ability score, take a feat of your choice. You can take each feat only once, unless the feat’s description says otherwise. And you have to meet the prerequisites of that feat.
