Cannot permanently remove downloads

I am trying to reset the database to default.
Deleting an entry is temporary measure for me.
I have tried to delete entries individually and an masse. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have gone into my files and deleted the .dd35/.dd5 files individually and en masse.
But none of it works for when i reinstall the app.
Appreciate any advice available to restore.
I'm using a Samsung s5 and on IS 7.0.
