Topic: Dragon Scale Mail shows in equipment but not armor

My character has a set of black dragon scale mail. I'm able to add this as an item, but it's not searchable under armor in the 5e app.

Yep that is correct, you can only equip equipment (from the equipment table) at the moment.
You can however just hit the Add Armor button and write down Black Dragon Scale mail plus its bonuses and it will be saved as well.
Or: create with the content creator an equipment file with the details of Black Dragon Scale Armor.
